4. Bespoke Dresses and Additional Alterations
Bespoke dresses from our collection are made in a selected standard size.
If additional alterations are required after the garment has been completed, these will be charged at an additional cost, in line with standard alteration prices.
5. Alterations and Handmade Work
Alterations are carried out according to the measurements and specifications agreed during fittings.
Due to the nature of handmade work and fabric behaviour, minor variations may occur. Once work has been completed as agreed, it is considered final.
6. Fittings - What to Bring & Wear
To ensure accurate fittings, customers should bring the shoes and underwear they intend to wear with their outfit, unless this has been discussed with the studio in advance.
Customers are asked to wear minimal makeup to reduce the risk of staining garments. Appointments without the correct shoes may require an additional fitting.
7. Interior Items (Curtains and Soft Furnishings)
For interior items, including curtains:
-
Measurements taken by the studio are our responsibility
-
Measurements provided by the customer are the customer’s responsibility
If the studio does not take the measurements, we cannot accept responsibility for incorrect sizing or fit.
8. Customer Responsibility
Customers are responsible for:
-
Attending fittings on time or giving notice if they need to reschedule
-
Providing accurate information and requirements
-
Collecting items promptly once work is complete
9. Uncollected Items
Any garments or items not collected within 12 months of completion will be considered abandoned.
After this period, items may be donated to a registered charity. The studio cannot store items beyond this timeframe.
10. Insurance and Liability
Every care is taken with customers’ items while they are with us. However, items are left at the customer’s own risk.
The studio cannot accept responsibility for:
-
Faults in fabric supplied by the customer
-
Changes in fit due to weight fluctuation after fittings
-
Normal wear and tear
We recommend that wedding dresses are covered under personal or wedding insurance, as our insurance cover is limited.
11. Privacy
Personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, available here and in the studio. We do not share customer data with third parties.
12. Acceptance of Terms
By booking an appointment or placing an order with Milli’s Sewing Studio, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
